With over 10 years of experience in the settlement sector working primarily with newcomers, Tania heads the PrepCan team. She started her career straight out of University, where she earned her Honours B.A. in Psychology. Her previous projects include developing and launching a website for Canadian Citizenship preparation. She has sat on several Steering Committees and is passionate about social development. Tania earned her PMP certification in 2014 and is also a Mediator and Conflict Resolution Workshop Facilitator.

Being born in the Middle East and having grown up in Canada, Stacey has first-hand knowledge and appreciation of the challenges newcomers face in their transition to a new country. She received a BA in Women's Studies and Sociology from the University of Windsor, and a BA in Legal Studies from Carleton University where she quickly developed a deep passion for making a difference in the lives of other newcomers. With a working background in providing settlement services for internationally educated professionals and roles with the Canadian federal government, Stacey is excited to deliver services for newcomers by facilitating their integration into Canadian workplaces and encouraging their positive contributions to Canadian society.
Mona has 9 years of combined experience in the Education, Settlement, and Employment Counselling fields. She earned her B.A. and B.Ed. from the University of Toronto and her Career and Work Counselling diploma from George Brown College. With a passion for working with and learning from newcomers, she strives to facilitate their settlement and integration process and open up better access to opportunities. Mona enjoys meeting people and learning new skills; from pottery to beekeeping her interests and experiences enrich her life every day.
Nadia has more than 10 years of experience providing effective job development, recruitment and employment counseling services to a diverse clientele of immigrants. She started her career right out of University of Athabasca where she earned her B.A. Nadia is passionate about helping newcomers to achieve their career goals. Her other passion lies in serving less privileged people in the community through volunteer work at local community agencies. Nadia is thrilled to support Newcomers to Canada integrating into the Canadian job market through PrepCan.
Heather Brothers has worked in employment services for over 10 years in roles ranging from Employment Consultant, Job Developer, Workshop Facilitator, College Instructor, and Program Coordinator. Her passion is assisting individuals with their personal, professional development, and search for work. She began her career right out of George Brown College, Career and Work Counsellor Program and has worked with newcomers, women, adults and youth. Heather is also a certified Hatha Yoga Instructor, Life Skills and Health and Wellness Coach which she dabbles in her spare time. She is excited to work with the PrepCan team and offer career services virtually.
Ruwaida is a certified facilitator with more than 15 years' experience as a Career Coach and Teacher. She has been helping professionals achieve their career goals since 2005. Her extensive experience in making maximum use of effective presentations and instructional designing skills allows her to conduct unique career and employment workshops. Ruwaida is certified as an Adult Education Specialist, an Online Workshop Facilitator, and an ISO Lead Auditor. She is a mother of three, and her hobbies include reading and travelling. Creating educational content and enjoying a cup of coffee are just a couple of her passions.
Miguel Lopez is an Internationally Trained Graphic Designer who believes in continuous learning. Specialized in Marketing, Creativity, and Project Management; he's worked on several creative projects before joining the PrepCan team. An entrepreneur at heart, he founded Manolarga in 2011, a design studio start-up company. As the Creative Director and CEO, he delivered high-quality print and digital services to advertising companies and other start-ups. Miguel's excitement is palpable; he's always eager to put his knowledge and problem-solving skills to the service of PrepCan. He is a true champion of creativity and innovation.
Arcelia has helped Newcomers setting and succeeding in Canada for over 7 years through settlement, entrepreneurship, and online training programs. Arcelia holds an Honours MEng. in Quality Assurance and Productivity, and a PMP certification. She volunteers as the Director of Administration for the PMI-SOC, Government Community, and as the Website Administrator of the Project Management Toastmasters Club. Arcelia believes continuous learning is essential to achieving personal and professional growth. She authors the content of prepcan.ca and is determined to provide you with valuable employment information so you can hasten your integration into the Canadian Labour Market.
